Welcome. The market is a very exciting place where fortunes can be obtained or lost in one day. Stocks are a financial risk. It requires patience and knowledge. Sometimes it's all luck. most of the time, it's news related. Good news can drive a stock way up, as well as bad news can drive a stock down. It's wise to consult a stock broker or financial advisor before jumping into the stock market. Mutual funds are generally less risky then others. There are high to low risk mutual funds. Higher the risk the more money you can make. It's always best to buy low and sell high. Options are less risky money wise and offers higher money making potential without the high cost of buying a stock. Find a good book and read up on Stock trading. Fridays are usually days to BUY stocks cos it's the day that stocks go down from people selling off their shares for the weekend money. Wednesdays are usally the day stocks will peak up for the weak, a good SELL day. Look out for stocks that fall sharply on Friday openings as they may rebound enough to sell right before the bell. Check out #daytraders on IRC. It's only available on the UnderNet, not EfNet.
